First Adventure
We are now at our second stop of our trip and I have to catch up on our adventures so far. We arrived here in Redding, California at 8:15 just in time to set up before it got dark. It was a full day of driving with almost no delays. Yes almost. I hope to add a picture of Scott fixing the tire on the trailer on the side to the freeway. He was the hero of the day putting on the spare in less than 30 minutes. Thank goodness for the new jacks Scott had put on not too long ago.
Today we spent most of the day inside because of the unusual late June rain. Simone and I checked out some of the campground in the rain and found the small creek was almost overflowing from the rain. A few kids were catching craw fish in the creek and having a great time.

Getting Started
I am so excited to begin a new chapter in my life and I see more traveling in my future. Scott and I begin our first big adventure on Friday. I hope you will follow us north through California and Oregon to Washington. From Washington to the Yellowstone area then back to California for a week with family. Our plan is to head east from there to see Mount Rushmore. From there the plan is up in the air. . . . .As they say, "Happy trails!""
